:: Events, CfA :: The Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA) is pleased to invite submissions for its 15th Conference “Who is Afraid of Philosophy? New Challenges for Contemporary Society”, to be held in Alessandria, Italy, on 7-9 September 2023. The Conference, which will feature contributed talks and special topic symposia, is open to all topics and themes in the analytic tradition.

:: CfP :: Following up on 8 years of great debates, the University of Sao Paulo’s Discussion Group on Legal Theory and Public Law PósDebate invites submissions for presentations throughout the year. 

The Convenors are looking for working papers, camera-ready or recently published contributions from established academics and graduate students. :: News :: Professor Giovanni Battista Ratti (UniGe) has recently completed a five-month residency (September 2022-January 2023) in the Department of Philosophy at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) as Bertrand Russell Visiting Professor for the academic year 2022-23 . During his time at McMaster University, Ratti taught a 12-week course on Italian analytic philosophy from Peano to Bobbio and gave a seminar on “Bertrand Russell and the Identity of Legal Systems” on January 20, 2023. He also worked extensively on documents related to early Italian analytic philosophy and issues in the philosophy of law at the Bertrand Russell Centre and Archives.

:: Event :: On Thursday, February 23, the first edition of the CLOE Seminar Series will take place. The event will be hosted at the Aula Meridiana, Via Balbi 5, and will have two speakers: Valeria Ottonelli (UniGe), who will present her latest book The Right Not to Stay (Oxford University Press), and Federico Anghelé (The Good Lobby), who will talk about The Good Lobby’s recent work to promote participatory public policy.
