:: News :: Professor Giovanni Battista Ratti (UniGe) has recently completed a five-month residency (September 2022-January 2023) in the Department of Philosophy at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) as Bertrand Russell Visiting Professor for the academic year 2022-23 . During his time at McMaster University, Ratti taught a 12-week course on Italian analytic philosophy from Peano to Bobbio and gave a seminar on “Bertrand Russell and the Identity of Legal Systems” on January 20, 2023. He also worked extensively on documents related to early Italian analytic philosophy and issues in the philosophy of law at the Bertrand Russell Centre and Archives.

The event will be hosted at the Aula Meridiana, Via Balbi 5, and will have two speakers: Valeria Ottonelli (UniGe), who will present her latest book The Right Not to Stay (Oxford University Press), and Federico Anghelé (The Good Lobby), who will talk about The Good Lobby’s recent work to promote participatory public policy.
