:: Events :: A Workshop on Frederick Schauer’s new book The Force of Law (Harvard UP, forthcoming) will take place on October 2nd and 3rd, at the Bocconi University in Milan. :: CFP :: The interdisciplinary academic network MetaLawEcon organises its 5th workshop on “What is law for? Philosophical, empirical and evolutionary perspectives” at the University of Debrecen, Hungary (Faculty of Law, Thursday – Friday, 11 and 12 December 2014) and is now calling for paper proposals. The workshop’s general theme, in broad terms, is whether law can be characterised and analysed in functional or instrumental terms, and if so, how.
