:: Events :: The UK IVR and Jurisprudence: an International Journal of Legal and Political Thought will host A J Julius (UCLA) and Joseph Raz (Columbia and KCL) in conversation on “Reasons, Coordination, and Authority”. The conversation, chaired by Veronica Rodriguez-Blanco, will take place on 29 January 2016 at 6pm, at LSE Law (Moot Court Room, New Academic Building, 7th floor). A small reception will follow.
Joseph Raz will comment on some arguments about interpersonal practical rationality and authority that are set out in A J Julius’ forthcoming book Reconstruction (Princeton University Press). Raz and Julius will then trade further thoughts on these topics with members of the audience who will have had the chance to read Julius’ material beforehand. The manuscript version of the book can be found at http://www.ajjulius.net/reconstruction.pdf.
There is a limited number of available places, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis (with UK IVR members enjoying priority). If you wish to attend and to receive the material around which the conversation will revolve, please contact Emmanuel Melissaris (e.melissaris@lse.ac.uk) by 15 January 2016.
