:: Call for Papers :: The Special Section theme of the vol. 3, n. 1 of Contemporary Legal Theory is “New Discussions in Legal Argumentation Theory”. This section will be under the responsibility of the guest editor Giovanni Damele (ArgLab at NOVA University of Lisbon) and Rachel Herdy (GREAT at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). They aim, by putting this special section forward, to build up analysis on the diverse aspects involved in legal argumentation in courts. The deadline is September 30, 2018.
Contributions on other domains than Law (e.g. Informal Logic, Rhetoric, Experimental Psychology, Social Epistemology, among others) are welcomed.
Topics may include:
- Mediatized Trials
- Trials involving political representatives and high emotional content
- Fake News
- Cognitive Biases and Heuristics
- Rhetoric and Visual Arguments
- Disagreement between Experts
