The second Law and Mind conference will be devoted to the role of intuition in law, understood broadly. The notion of legal intuition and question of the role of “hunch” in legal reasoning and judgement is a very fruitful area where legal studies, cognitive science, evolutionary biology and empirical psychology meet.
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers dealing with the empirical (neuroscientific, psychological, etc.) aspects of intuition and intuitive decision making, as well as philosophers and legal theorists aiming at analysis of the concepts such as intuition, insight, “hunch” and the role they play in political, moral and legal discourse.
Keynote speakers: Jeffrey J. Rachlinsky, Tomasz Pietrzykowski.

Abstract submission: 30 October, 2018. Authors are invited to submit abstracts (1000 words) plus the references, prepared for blind review.
