:: Calls :: The Faculty of Law of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) invites applications for two tenure track appointments, anticipated to be at the Assistant Professor level. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Faculty welcomes applications from outstanding scholars of diverse perspectives and will consider an appointment in Legal Theory or Legal Philosophy. Applicants will have a strong academic record and will have, or will be completing, a Ph.D. in law or a related discipline. They will have a record of, or demonstrated potential for, excellence in teaching and research.
ABOUT THE FACULTY OF LAW: Founded in 1980, ITAM’s Faculty of Law is a collegial community with a deep commitment to its 500 students. We pride ourselves on having one of the most prestigious law faculties in the Spanish-speaking world. All faculty members contribute to, and are committed to, sustaining the core curriculum, which includes compulsory courses in all four years, as well as a diverse research agenda.
ITAM is located in an attractive colonial setting in Mexico City. The offices of the law school look out over the valley of Mexico and the colonial neighborhood of San Angel. Faculty and students support a variety of causes and activities enhancing the civic life of the school and community, including a Center for Access to Justice, an active faculty seminar series with speakers from around the world, two law journals, and a strong clinical education offering.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Review of applications will begin the first week of December 2018. All pre-selected candidates will receive an invitation to present a faculty seminar and job interview activities on January 4. The interview process will take place between February and March 2019.
