:: Calls :: The Normativity and Nature Workshop will be held at the University of the West of England on May 13. The Organizers welcome papers from any area of philosophy on topics related to the workshop theme. Deadline for abstracts: Apr. 1.
The workshop aims to assess the viability of naturalistic (broadly construed) accounts of normativity. What can these accounts offer which is missing in other views of the normative? Do naturalistic accounts offer better prospects for making sense of animal and environmental ethics? Or is it rather the case that this kind of view is incapable for accounting for a robust conception of normativity?
Please send abstracts of no more than 500 words, prepared for blind review, to the below email address. Submissions should be suitable for 30 minute presentations, and each presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
Please send abstracts and direct any other inquiries to Dr. Charlotte Alderwick
