:: News :: The Australian Society of Legal Philosophy Essay Competition aims to encourage original research and writing in legal theory and philosophy of law by early career scholars around the world. The competition is open to students currently enrolled in a post-graduate degree program (Master or Doctoral) in any discipline. The author of the winning essay will receive a cash prize of AU$1,000, plus a contribution of up to AU$500 towards the cost of attendance at the Society’s Annual Conference  to present the essay as a paper. Essays must be in English and not exceed 15,000 words, send to jcrowe@bond.edu.au. The XXVIII World Congress  of the  International Society for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR) will be held in Istanbul July 16 – 21, 2017. Submissions for individual papers to be presented at the Congress, in two special workshops addressing “The Concept of Law: Elements and Nature” and “Objectivity and Law” are welcomed.
